Theaters on July 6, the same day Marvel Music/Hollywood Records are releasing the digital soundtrack to Ant-Man and the Wasp Original Motion Picture. In addition to recording with a full orchestra, Beck explains that he was excited to create a theme for The Wasp, Ant-Man's partner-in-crime as well as incorporate more musical elements than the previous film. Ant-Man and the Wasp opens in U.S. The composer is no stranger to creating a musical voice for superheroes, with score credits including Ant-Man (2015), Elektra (2005), and the song "Blind Man" for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). Ant Man Film Soundtrack Series Where TheyBoth "Captain America" movies set in modern day were directed by the Russo brothers and scored by Henry Jackman. His Wasp theme sounds like it’s gonna be cool.Don’t care if it’s digital, I just want it.In series where they've stayed with the same director, they've been more consistent than not: Both "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies were directed by James Gunn and scored by Tyler Bates. Very excited that he’s back. Ant-Man is probably my favourite MCU score. I was waiting for this announcement. Musically speaking the MCU suffers from it's inconstancy within each series. When the director stays on for the sequel, the composer usually does as well. Peyton Reed who is directing this also directed Ant-Man. (Fun fact: the day the 4CD Arista "Star Wars" box set was released, both Peyton and I were waiting outside Aron's Records in Hollywood for it to open so we could get our hands on it.)It isn't really that much of a surprise. Ben 10 reboot new aliensBecke set a very high bar on the first film-it's literally the only MCU score apart from maybe the Patrick Doyle Thor that I've gone back to listen to again and again, and it contains some of my favorite action cues of the past decade (it's a rare score where you get wild, powerful brass performances that stand out for example). That makes logical sense of course.Peyton and James Gunn are big score nuts, especially PeytonI was able to talk to both Reed and Becke in the past year or two and both confirmed they would collaborate on the sequel. Damn, Schiffy beat me to the punch.I wasn't familiar enough with the directors for the various films to see a pattern. I'd pay for em, like I did for the other Intrada-released MCU scores. Wish they would let intrada do them again.Just curious, is it known why they stopped?I’m sure if they thought there was a buck to be made in it, they would.Man, that stinks. Why can’t they throw us cd collectors a bone?I’d love to purchase Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Black Panther, and now Ant-Man and Wasp.Tried but they are not interested. Why can’t Marvel do the same? I understand digital is the future, but for a company like Marvel who still produces physical comic books. Could you encourage them to make Hollywood Records produce or contract out to one of our beloved labels a limited run of their digital only soundtracks on cd? Lakeshore Records produces titles in quantities of 1,000. But as MV said, Reed is a director who actually WANTS a cool, sort of retro score, so I remain hopeful and excited.Into The Hornet’s Nest is probably my favorite cue from any film in a long time.Hey, for those of you that know the directors, composers, and/or Marvel executives. Ant Man Film Soundtrack Download Only AreUnfortunate, but a sign of the times.Well that was kind of my question, was the cost involved too much of a burden for Intrada or did Disney make the call? It might be a sign of the times, but it's good for all of us to remember what a risk these kind of releases can be, even when dealing with a blockbuster. Unfortunate, but a sign of the times.I’m sure It's clear that the bucks to be made are below the interest level of the parties involved. Digital download only are varied and inconsistent. It's clear that the bucks to be made are below the interest level of the parties involved. It's odd how the CD releases vs.
